S: Philippians 2:13 (NLT)

 

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. 

 

O: Don’t you just love how the scriptures always point us back to Him?! For most of us, on our journey of salvation, we strive to live right and do right by God. For some, if not ALL of us, we try very hard but end up falling short anyway. So we end up giving up the fight because no matter what we do, it just never seems to be enough! The scripture not only gives us a solution but simplifies the process too! Of course truth be told, simple doesn’t always equate to easy but understanding it is half the battle! It is God Himself that is working in us, also giving us the desire and power to do what pleases Him! Isn’t God so merciful that He doesn’t set us up just to fail? In fact, He wants us to get it right so fiercely that even though it all is for Him, He rolls up His sleeves and does the work with us! Simply put, even for us to please Him, we still require His help. There is no escaping it, everything revolves around God!!!

 

A: Consider the things in your life God has been leading you to do or change but you may have been resisting or striving with. Write them down and look for practical ways to act on them while seeking His help in prayer. 

 

P: Dear Lord, thank you for being the author and finisher of my faith. So great is your mercy and grace that you are all I need. Help me to surrender to the work you are doing in me this season and always.
