Week 40 Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

S: Prov 3:6 (NLT)

Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

O: Many times we find ourselves at crossroads deliberating which way to go. It might be a major life decision like relocating for work, choosing who to marry or just day-to-day decisions like ‘What do I eat?”, or “What do I wear today?”. As Christian creatives, we might be navigating choices like who to collaborate with, when to release a piece of work, or what song to sing for your church service. For some, the burden of a decision can genuinely be paralysing, but this is not God’s desire for us. Whatever decision we are faced with, we have a simple, but admittedly not always easy method prescribed in today’s scripture. In the preceding verse (vs.5) the writer instructs us to “trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our understanding”. When we are all in like this, it becomes easier to truly seek His will and receive clarity and direction. When we find ourselves in the valley of decisions (or indecision), seeking to understand God’s will concerning that issue and trusting him fully is the best way to go!

A: When you find yourself in the valley of decisions (or indecision), STOP running in circles! Go and have a chat with God and ask what He will have you do.

P: Dear Lord, thank you that you have a good and perfect will for me. Thank you that you know what is best and desire that my life is a picture of your goodness and mercy. Help me to seek your will daily and in every decision that I need to make. Free me from the fear of making a wrong turn so that I can trust and follow you completely.
